Important note…These alternators are specifically designed to work under high heat and amp load conditions. They are found on many newer school buses and on vocational vehicles equipped with magnetic brake systems such as those made by Telma, Inc. Some of these units are equipped with external rectifier bridges (these are the aluminum castings containing diodes and are attached to the rear of some units). This is done to help dissipate heat properly, and prolong the life of the alternator. Match the details from your alternator to those noted below (such as system voltage, amp output and etc.) to determine the correct replacement alternator.
