The alternators above are different in one very important way.

2812200 is an exact replacement for Delco style 22SI and 24SI units (standard bolt hole measurement)

2812200LN is an exact replacement for high volume Leece-Neville units (wider bolt hole measurement)

Also the standard Delco type unit (with the standard bolt hole measurement) can by used as an exact replacement for the Bosch 160A or 200A “Long Haul” alternators with the J-180 design. The difference in the two units is in the measurement in the centerline distance of the bolt holes for each application. The Delco measures 7.8 inches and the L/N is 8.5 inches.
